Welcome to Tae Kwon Do U.S.A.
on the Web!
What does TAE KWON DO U.S.A. mean? TAE is the Korean name for foot, KWON is the Korean name for hand, and DO means the art or the way. Therefore, TAEKWONDO literally means the art of the foot and hand.
The art of TAEKWONDO is only part of what we teach - yes, self defense is learned - but we emphasize qualities such as confidence, discipline, and manners, all while becoming physcically fit.
The first belt, white, is a magnificent level of training. It is the courageous first step to an incredible journey. It is what all the Black Belts compare their present level with their past performance. It represents the pure, powerful, positive changes that are now happening in your life.
It is our goal to provide the highest level of service in martial arts training here in the Memphis area. If there is ever a question or concern, please ask Mr. or Mrs. Wiggins, or leave a message since this is your school. Thank you for your patronage.
